||About the Author|Peter Moran is an assistant professor of Elementary Education at the University of Wyoming, teaching courses in the history of education and methods of teaching social studies. He earned his Ph.D. from Kansas State University in 2000.

Moran examines Kansas City, Missouri, as a case study of school desegregation during the period 1949 to 1999.
